古琴,文人喜好的中國樂器,古時文人修身四藝,即琴、棋、書、畫,琴是居首位的。是次活動,兩位古琴名家承傳不同古琴派系,容克智先生為家傳琴學,謝俊仁博士拜蔡德允老師學藝。兩人講述師承及彈琴風格,並以絲弦演奏。在繁囂生活中,來傾聽文人音聲,感受中國傳統音樂之美。 The guqin, or qin, is a Chinese instrument highly appreciated among scholars and literati. It is one of the "Four Arts of the Chinese Scholar"—namely the mastery of the qin, qi (chess), shu (calligraphy), and hua (painting)— whereby the qin holds the foremost position. For this event, two renowned guqin masters will showcase their individual, inherited guqin traditions. Mr. Yung Hak Chi carries on a family lineage of guqin studies; Dr. Tse Chun Yan learned his craft under the tutelage of Grandmaster Tsar Teh Yun. Both will discuss their artistic heritage and guqin playing styles and perform with silk strings. Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, come listen to humanistic melodies and experience the beauty of traditional Chinese music.
容克智先生 容氏祖先滿族人,原籍黑龍江,於清道光年間遷戶廣東番禺。1950年,容家移居香港。容家先祖,乃將門世胄,高祖慶瑞公,宦遊粵海,以琴瑟從學於浙江錢塘李成宇(澄宇)君,盡得李氏真傳,著有《琴瑟合譜》一冊,復以琴瑟授予其妾李芝仙,芝仙女士再傳藝於克智之曾祖父(容葆廷公)及祖父容心言公,祖父再傳藝予克智之父容思澤公。克智先生琴學得自家傳,傳承六代,歴二百多年之久。他十二歲隨父習琴,操縵五十餘年,造詣精湛。克智先生鼓琴,以古樸沈實見稱,彈奏曲目包括:「䆁談章」、「塞上鴻」、「雁度衡陽」、「搔首問天」、「瀟湘水雲」、「猗蘭」、「水仙」、「陽春」、「白雪」等三十餘首。於2016年退休後,克智先生專注琴學研究及培育後學之工作。 Mr. Hammond Yung Hak Chi The ancestors of the Yung family were Manchus, originally from Heilongjiang, and moved to Panyu, Guangdong during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. In 1950, the Yung family relocated to Hong Kong. The ancestors of the Yung family were descendant of military general. His great-grandfather, Lord Qingrui, travelled around Guangdong fulfilling his official duties. He learned qin and se from Mr. Li Chengyu of Qiantang, Zhejiang. Qingrui mastered all the skills from Li and wrote a book called Combined Scripts of Qin & Se 《琴瑟合譜》. Qingrui also shared this passion with his concubine Li Zhixian and taught her how to play qin and se. Zhixian then passed on the skills of qin to Yung Baoting, who was Hammond's great-grandfather, and to his grandfather, Yung Xinyan, who then passed on the skills to Hammond's father Yung Sze Chak. Hammond learned qin from his family, with tablature and unique playing techniques passed down through six generations for more than 200 years. He started learning qin from his father at the age of 12 and has been playing the instrument for more than fifty years with great accomplishment. Hammond is known for his unadorned yet classic style. His repertoire includes more than 30 pieces: "Stanzas of Siddham”(釋談章), "Wild Geese beyond the Great Wall”(塞上鴻), "Wild Geese Flying over Henyang”(雁度衡陽), "Scratching Head for Enlightenment from Heaven” (搔首問天), "Clouds over the Rivers Xiao and Xiang (瀟湘水雲), "Flourishing Orchid” (猗蘭), "Water Lily” (水仙), "Sunny Spring” (陽春), "White Snow” (白雪). After retirement in 2016, Hammond has been dedicated to the research and teaching of qin.
謝俊仁博士 香港古琴家,香港中文大學民族音樂學博士。七十年代跟隨關聖佑習音樂理論與創作,八十年代追隨關聖佑、劉楚華及蔡德允習古琴。多年來積極參與古琴創作、打譜、推廣、教學和研究工作。其創作琴曲《雙乙反調》被選為中國古琴考試六級選曲之一,主要研究範圍為明清琴曲的音階與律制、苦音、粵樂七律及康熙十四律等,曾發表有關研究論文四十多篇。其唱片《一閃燈花墮》和《秋月清霜》於2001年和2011年出版,其書籍《審律尋幽:謝俊仁古琴論文與曲譜集》和《古琴進階七十二問》於2016年和2025年出版。謝氏為退休醫生,退休後曾任香港中文大學音樂系與香港演藝學院兼職講師,現為香港德愔琴社副社長,並為香港中文大學音樂系古琴導師及副研究員。 TSE Chun-Yan A qin player in Hong Kong and holder of PhD in ethnomusicology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, TSE Chun-Yan studied music theory and composition under KWAN Shing-Yau in 1970s. In 1980s, he studied the qin under KWAN Shing-Yau, LAU Chor-Wah and then TSAR Teh-Yun. For many years, he has taken part in composition, reconstruction of old scores, promotion, teaching and research for the qin. One of his compositions, Composition in Yifan Mode, is selected as a test piece in the Grade 6 qin examination in China. His main areas of research include intonation and scales in qin music of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and traditional Chinese music theory, with more than forty articles or book chapters published on related topics. His personal CDs, The Oil-Lamp Flickered and Autumn Moon and Winter Frost, were published in 2001 and 2011 respectively. His book, Exploring the Secluded: A Collection of Academic Papers, Compositions and Reconstructions on the Qin by Tse Chun-Yan, was published in 2016. His new book, Seventy-Two Questions for Advanced Qin Players, was published in 2025. He is a retired medical practitioner and has taught in the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a part-time lecturer. He is currently a vice chairman of the Deyin Qin Society of Hong Kong, and an instrumental instructor on the qin and a research associate in the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
