「回歸 ‧ 雕刻 ‧ 夢」酉星藝術作品展

酉星簡介

酉星，原名張醒熊。酷愛書畫陶藝，醉情竹木篆刻。2002年獲香港藝術發展局資助，舉辦個人雕刻藝術展；曾參與大嶼山「心經簡林」及「慈山寺」大型牌匾的雕刻工作；雕塑作品「回歸」﹑「自強不息」分別入選第十一及第十二屆全國美術作品展。目前榮膺多間學校﹑機構及團體的藝術顧問，並應邀在多間學校教授雕刻陶藝等課程。現為香港刻字藝術學會會長及多個藝術團體顧問﹑會員。目前開設「酉星藝術工作坊」從事專業藝術創作及教學工作。

Introduction to Yo Shing

Yo Shing, whose birth name is Cheung Sing Hung, is passionate about calligraphy, painting, pottery art, as well as bamboo and wood carving. In 2002, he held his first exhibition of carving art with the sponsorship of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. He took part in the carving of Professor Jao Chung-I’s calligraphy of Heart Sutra on giant wooden columns and the name plaques as well as couplets in Tse Shan Monastery. His sculpting works entitled “Reurn” and “Forever Self-strengthening” were selected for entry to the Eleventh and Twelfth National Art Exhibition respectively. At present, he is appointed to be the art consultant for a number of schools, and organizations, and has been invited to teach pottery carving art in a number of schools. He is currently the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Carving Art, and a consultant to as well as a member of many art bodies and associations. In recent years, he has set up “Yo Shing Art Workshop” for teaching and creative art work purposes.
