HKU Music Festival 2025

The HKU Music Festival 2025 was hosted successfully on 13 February 2025, 7pm-9pm at Haking Wong Podium.

For the second year running, the HKU Music Festival, co-organized by the HKU Libraries and CEDARS, aims to uncover and nurture the natural talent of young musicians, providing a platform for creative and artistic expression, fostering HKU students' engagement, responsibility and collaboration, as well as aspiring to become a well-attended annual event in Hong Kong for enthusiasts of performing arts.

It is an open competition with cash awards for HKU students. Selected HKU students, as individuals or in teams, will perform their works in the Festival. Mr. John Lau has generously donated to HKU Libraries to promote the creativity of students at the University of Hong Kong and collectively inspiring many generations of youth.

This year, we received more than 40 submissions from our postgraduate and undergraduate students across ten faculties. Two rounds of judges were held, and 11 awardees were chosen from all submissions.
