Mr. Vincent Ko became interested in World Heritage sites in July 2002, after discovering The World Heritage List in a magazine. Between 2002 and 2017, he visited 828 sites in 120 countries on 156 trips. In July 2012, UNESCO invited him to upload his photos to their official website.
About the speaker
Vincent Ko is a retired Solicitor, Notary Public, and China-Appointed Attesting Officer. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 1969 with a BA.
He has an extensive background in various organizations, having held positions as Deputy President of the Hong Kong University Students' Union, Hon. Secretary & Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong University Alumni Association, Chairman of the Convocation of Hong Kong University, and member of the Council and Court of the University of Hong Kong.
Additionally, he served as National Director of the Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce, President of Peninsula Jaycees, President of City Lions Club, Director of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Chairman of Central and Western District Board, Member of Community Liaison Sub-committee of ICAC, Member of Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee Panel, Member of Supplementary Medical Professions Council, Member of Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service, and Member of Shenzhen's Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Legal Advisor of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. He was appointed as a JP in 1988.
