About the Photographers:
Laurence Lai is a local landscape and documentary photographer specialising in arts and business, made himself known in the city through his striking photographs of the skyscrapers, busy streets and neon lights. His works on the G/F present one of the major visual, cultural and artistic components seen throughout Hong Kong in the past century – neon lights.
Edward Stokes is an Australian-born Hong Kong photographer and writer, has been working, photographing, and writing about Hong Kong over the past three decades. His photographs and books have been featured in numerous magazines and exhibitions including his recent major exhibition ‘Recovery, Resilience, Resurgence’. His photographs on the 2/F capture the many hidden gems and unseen sides of nature in Hong Kong.
Tsui Tong is a local photographer, has been working with magazines, newspapers and celebrities for more than four decades. He specialises in capturing the rapid movements and colourful costumes of Cantonese opera performances on stage. His works on the 1/F are widely used as front covers of publications and exhibited internationally to promote the Cantonese Opera as intangible heritage.
