On 9 October 2023, we commemorated the 111th anniversary of the Libraries, celebrating 111 years of dreams, with the opening of our 111 Dreams Sculpture Exhibition. 🎉 📖
Beyond being a celebration, these sculptures symbolise the profound truth that dreams manifest in diverse shapes and sizes, portraying dreams within us all. ☁️✨
The event was officiated by Professor Richard Wong, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Norman Ko, Honorary University Fellow, Professor Ian Holiday, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), and CIO and University Librarian Flora Ng. 🤩
The ceremony featured a brilliant gu zheng performance by HKU student, Leila Zhao. 🎶😊
Immerse yourself in the uniqueness of each life-size bronze sculpture crafted by artist and HKU alum Professor Norman Ko Wah-Man.
The 111 Dreams Sculpture Exhibition was available for viewing until November 8th on the 2/F the Main Library!
